During school holidays, the Danish Architecture Center is filled with extra experiences for both children and adults. Here, play and learning come together in inspiring surroundings where the whole family can join in—whether you’re looking for creative workshops, exhibitions, fun family activities, or simply a cozy place to spend a holiday day together.
Fun for All
Let your imagination run free in our family workshop and explore our exhibitions together. Discover the city’s architecture in a fun and different way, and enjoy the view of Copenhagen from the DAC Café, which features two large rooftop terraces. Here you can satisfy both hunger and thirst. You can also visit the DAC Design Shop for design gifts and inspiration—or join a guided walking tour of the city.

Fill your summer holidays with play, learning, and plenty of experiences at DAC. Explore the major exhibitions and discover how Danish architecture has evolved through the centuries.
Unleash your creativity in the family workshop, and take a break on the café’s rooftop terraces. From here you will get a unique view over Copenhagen – a perfect spot when the sun is shining.

Fall break
During week 42, you can build, draw, and play in the family workshop, warm up in the café, and experience architecture in new ways together. DAC is full of indoor activities – and guided tours for those who prefer to get outside.
Culture Night in October also creates a special atmosphere. In the café, you can enjoy something warm while taking in the view from one of our greenhouses on the rooftop terrace.

Christmas Holiday
During the Christmas holidays, you can combine cozy holiday spirit with inspiring experiences. In our Design Shop, you’ll find beautiful ornaments and the perfect Christmas gift.
The exhibitions and family workshop are open, the café serves holiday classics – and of course mulled wine and traditional Danish holiday pastries. You can also host your Christmas party here in spectacular surroundings.

Winter Break
When the cold bites outside, DAC is the perfect place to spend your winter break. In both week 7 and week 8, you can enjoy an exciting program. Creative activities, building projects, and exhibitions invite both play and reflection. At the DAC Café, there’s always something warm to enjoy while you take in the view over the city’s rooftops—if you’re lucky, even with a sprinkle of snow.

As the days grow brighter and spring begins to bloom, DAC is full of fresh ideas. Explore exhibitions that are perfect for a family outing.
